What's new at 5th St Food Hall? November fundraiser; a second location coming in June 2023; upcoming events, and more.

 

What's New and Exciting on the Menu?

While there is almost always something new at 5th St Food Hall, we want to make sure you know about some of the latest noteworthy dishes.

  • HOM is making some changes to his menu, introducing "Handhelds by HOM" like the Northern Thai Chicken Curry wrap and Thai sausage on a bun. Great options for lunch! He'll also switch his summer salads with more hearty curries and soups to warm us up throughout winter - stay tuned! Finally, Rendang is back (IYKYK) for the first Take HOM Dinner happening on November 20. Read below for details.

  • Meat Shack Barbecue is hosting an All You Can Eat Ribs evening on November 23. Read below for more details.

  • Seitans' current feature pizza is a good one: Chick & Waffle! Maple aioli, popcorn chicken, waffle chunks, chedda, hot huney (agave) and green onions - perfect for any meal.

  • CHRISTMAS DINNERS are coming! Stay tuned for some delicious food that requires (almost) no prep time.

 

November Fundraiser

Throughout November, we are donating $1 from every Banded Peak Draft Beer sold to the Veterans Association Food Bank of Edmonton. Come to 5th St Food Hall and drink for a good cause!The Veterans Association Food Bank was created in August 2018 following the closure of the Royal Canadian Legion's Veteran food bank. Through their various programs, they provide assistance to nearly 500 individual Veterans and Veteran families, creating a place of security, camaraderie, empathy and purpose – together. A Second JustCook Location Is Coming in June 2023!

JustCook is excited to be part of the redevelopment of the CP Rail Station - Station Park - located at the corner of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Boulevard. Consisting of repurposed shipping container units with interactive indoor and outdoor space, it is designed for visitors and locals to come together and explore.

JustCook Market will be taking on not one, but TWO floors of Station Park, each with a distinct but complementary ambiance.

  • 2nd Floor ("The Lounge Car"): The perfect space for families, friends, or colleagues to have a good time, refreshing drinks, and delicious food! It will consist of 3 fast-casual restaurants and a bar inside, as well as a patio space (including a second bar!) for ample seating. This is sure to become a must-eat destination in the Whyte Ave area.

  • 3rd Floor ("The Scenic Train"): Our special events space, aimed to take everyone's experiences up a notch! With two higher-end style restaurants, a chef's table (concept/demo kitchen), and a cocktail bar, this is going to become the #1 spot for late night experiences in Edmonton.

Upcoming Events at 5th St Food Hall

Weekly happenings:

  • Power Hour: every Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 6PM, cocktails are on special.

  • Tap Out Tuesday: every Tuesday, all our local draft beers are $5!

  • Thicc Thursdays: your favorite pizza from Seitan's... as a Detroit-style deep dish!


November 11: Remembrance Day

5th St Food Hall will be open regular hours this Remembrance Day (11am - 10pm).To show our support and gratitude, all veterans and active duty service members will receive 15% off their orders. Use the code THANKYOU15 to order (applicable to dine-in and take-out orders at 5th St Food Hall only; proof of service required).


 


November 20: Take HOM Dinner

Enjoy a delicious Indonesian Mixed Rice meal, including RENDANG (caramelized beef curry - IYKYK) from the comfort of your own home. Pre-orders will be available until November 17th, so don't miss out and pre-order your meal today for pick-up on November 20th starting at noon.

What's included in an Indonesian Mixed Rice / Nasi Campur (cham-pur) for $25/person (+GST):

  • Caramelized Beef Curry / Rendang

  • Yellow Turmeric Rice / Nasi Kuning

  • Vegetable Salad w/ Palm Sugar Dressing / Karedok

November 23: All You Can Eat Ribs with Meat Shack!

All You Can Eat Ribs. One single rule: NO SHARING. Enough said, right?

Ticket is intended for a single person (no sharing!) and includes:

  • St. Louis Ribs coated in the house rub, chilled for 12 hours and then in the smoker for hours until they’re just about falling off the bone.

  • Mashed Potatoes

  • Baked Beans

  • Coleslaw
