What's new at 5th St Food Hall? March fundraiser, Tomato Top100, upcoming events, and more.

 

What's New and Exciting on the Menu?

While there is almost always something new at 5th St Food Hall, we want to make sure you know about some of the latest noteworthy dishes.

  • GNUDI by Chef Cam Nelson opened back in February and offers handcrafted, delicious pasta dishes, including Gnudi, Bolognese Tortellini, Penne Carbonara, and more. Pictured is the Wild Mushroom Risotto - as delicious as it looks!

  • MEAT SHACK BARBECUE has its smoked wings on special every Thursday - don't miss out!

  • OILBURGERS participated in the #BurgerItForward campaign with its Big McD burger. Thanks to your support, we sold 129 of the feature burger and helped raise funds in support of Food Bank Canada!

  • SEITANS's current pizza feature is the Reuben Pizza (Seitan’s thousand Island dressing, house made corn beaf, sauerkraut, pickles, smoked mozza, green onions). Try it before it's gone! PS: Have you heard that Die Pie is coming back soon?

 

March Fundraiser

Throughout March, $1 from every Banded Peak Beer sale will be donated to the Bissell Centre.


Everything Bissell Centre does is grounded in its vision of eliminating poverty. Their mission is to empower people to move from poverty to cultural, social and economic prosperity, by working with communities. Visit bissellcentre.org for more details.

 

Tomato Top100 2023

We're excited to announce that several dishes available at 5th St made the Tomato Top100 2023 list of things to eat or drink in Edmonton!




64. Donair Pizza, Seitans

Seitans continues to offer diverse and delicious vegan options.

“The Donair pizza is a masterpiece. It started as a weekly special but made it on the regular menu, for a reason. The cheezes (vegan cheese), pizza dough, poutine sauce and all of the other sauces are made in house,” Rina A.

“The Christmas roast and eggnog cake wasn’t just delicious, it was reasonably priced. Everything they make is off the charts,” Angel C.

Upcoming Events at 5th St Food Hall

Weekly happenings:

  • Power Hour: every Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 6PM, cocktails are on special.

  • Tap Out Tuesday: every Tuesday, all our local draft beers are $5!

  • Thicc Thursdays: your favorite pizza from Seitan's... as a Detroit-style deep dish!

  • Wings & Beer Thursdays: grab a pound of Meat Shack Barbecue's smoked wings and an Alley Kat draft beer and save $$$!


‍March 6: Chef Takeover with Chef Holly Holt from SheCooks

Chef Holly Holt from SheCooks is taking over 5th St Food Hall on March 6 for an amazing 5-course dinner with drink pairings, celebrating local female entrepreneurs, farmers and food suppliers ahead of International Women’s Day. $155/person +GST, with $10 going to support WIN House. Last chance to grab your ticket!

 

March 15: Trivia Night with Net Impact Edmonton

Net Impact Edmonton is pleased to present a fantastic trivia event with a sustainability and social impact flare, hosted by Ritchie Panas from Sorry, not Sorry Production at JustCook 5th St. Food Hall. Plenty of prizes from local business partners are ups for grab and if you bring a pair of new socks to donate to Socks 4 Hope, your name is entered in a raffle for a chance to win a Grand Prize!


Tickets are $20/person and include a drink. A portion of ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the Bissell Centre. Sign up here.

March 17: St Patrick's Day 🍀

As St. Patrick's Day falls on a Friday this year, there is no excuse not to celebrate! Come to 5th St for great food, including specials from the kitchens, and enjoy a green beer or a pickleback. Don't forget to test your luck and enter our GC giveaway (dine-in only) - there may very well be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on March 17!



 

March 28: Art of Conversation

5th St Food Hall is excited to host Art of Conversation, a monthly social event created and organized by media personality Rob Christie and former Edmonton Sun columnist Graham Hicks with the goal of bringing people of diverse backgrounds together to engage in the rapidly vanishing art of face to face conversation.     • A special dining experience is focused on local female entrepreneurs, farmers and food suppliers. Chef Holly Holt is leading a Chef Takeover Dinner event at 5th St. Food Hall on Monday March 6.
